East Central District - High School MPA / Clinic East Central District Bandmasters Association - High School School Music Performance Adjudication for Band Festival/Contest
Reminder: If you are attending MPA out of district, you must get approval from both the ECDBA President and the district you wish to attend. High School MPA Clinic Information We are proud to offer a clinic session to bands following their traditional MPA performance and sight-reading. We've offered the clinic option for several and are very excited by the continued success of this format. The 2020 clinician will be determined soon.
Bands participating in the MPA clinic option will perform and be assessed on stage and in sight-reading the same as non-clinic bands. The standard panel of four judges provides written and verbal comments and ratings per NCBA guidelines. In addition, the clinician observes the group during their stage performance. The clinician does not provide recorded comments or assign a rating, but considers areas of strength and weakness during the stage performance. Following the group's sight-reading, the clinician works directly with the group. The length of the clinic matches the time allotted for the stage performance. The clinic is a wonderful opportunity for you and your students to receive immediate, practical feedback and have MPA serve as a jumping off point for your continued growth in the future.
